The Sweet Paul Magazine is out ! It’s full of fun recipes, clever ideas on crafty things you can make yourself and good advices on how to have a painless holiday season. LAUNCH OF “COLLECTED” IN OSLO

“COLLECTED” LAUNCH IN NORWAY

Saturday we celebrated that the book “Collected” now is in Norway. The party was at Nissan Juke Point at Tjuvholmen. Have a look at some of the photos on www.Famhove.com.
On the night we had a challenge on who could remember a recipe by heart, and write it down. We got quite a few ones, which I soon will try out! Will let you know how it goes.
Here is Meri’s leek pie from the book “Collected”. This recipe meri knows by heart and it’s certainly one of my favorites! Meri has been working with catering in many years and she knows how to cook for crowds. Now she is using her talent on hosting dinner parties for friends which I think is happening quite often!
Meri’s Leek Pie
- 60g butter
- 1 onion sliced
- 2 large leeks (500g) chopped
- 1 bunch of English spinach chopped
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1 cup thick creamy yogurt
- 1 handful fresh dill chopped
- 300g feta cheese cubed
- 125g freshly grated Parmesan
- 125g plain flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
Heat oven to 180 Celsius, prepare a 24 cm dish with melted butter.
Melt butter in a large pan. Add onion and leek and cook slowly, stirring occasionally until soft – 15 min. Add 1 bunch of English spinach chopped.
Beat egg and yogurt together, stir in leek mixture, dill, feta and all the rest but 2 tbsp of Parmesan. Fold in flour and soda. Add salt and pepper.

Last week “Collected” was published in Australia. This time not by myself, but the publishing company Hardie Grant. It’s exiting, but it feels a bit unreal. Today 250 copies arrived in Norway and to celebrate this occasion The Nissan team at Juke Point, Tjuvholmen are letting me host a night at their venue. Come by and say hi! We’re there from 6pm on Saturday. If you can’t make it but still want a copy of the book go to www.Collected.no. You don’t have to pay the postage if you are in Oslo or Ålesund.

After two years in London and four fantastic years in sunny, beautiful Sydney we are heading back to Norway! We are exited to spend more time with family and friends at home who we have missed so much, but we are also sad to leave our friends who have been like a family for us during the time here. In the last few weeks we have been busy organising the move so I’m sorry for not posting too many new things on my blog. But thanks to everyone who have been reading it anyway:)
I’m also exited to introduce you all to Hardie Grant who will now be publishing my book “Collected”! More news to come on that! The other one I want you to meet is Elin. She will be maintaing my blog now for the next few weeks, while I do a little bit of travelling and settling again. I will be back soon with lots of new photos, recipes, and interesting places to visit. There will still be more Sydney stuff coming as well.

They also have homeware, clothes, fabrics, jewellery and books, all from the Northern part of Europe. Thanks to them we can still get most things that we miss from home just around the corner in Manly. The book “Collected” is also in their store now.
