Arnstein came back from Russia last week and had some cool photos on his IPhone. It looks just like i had imagined. Don’t you think?
Hello again!
After leaving Sydney, we escaped the busy times packing and moving by traveling to a place were life is simple and sweet. We did yoga, detoxed, changed the diet to raw food and learned to cook curry the right way.
The afternoon break outside Mc Donald’s
I loved the gasoline bottles! Two of these were enough for the scooter for a whole day adventure, each bottle cost less then $1.50.
There is plenty of chill out time for the locals.
I´m already back in Oslo now, and the organizing for our next home have started. I´m already inspired by the fashion, design and the nature here. My camera is with me everywhere at the moment! You will soon see!
After two years in London and four fantastic years in sunny, beautiful Sydney we are heading back to Norway! We are exited to spend more time with family and friends at home who we have missed so much, but we are also sad to leave our friends who have been like a family for us during the time here. In the last few weeks we have been busy organising the move so I’m sorry for not posting too many new things on my blog. But thanks to everyone who have been reading it anyway:)
I’m also exited to introduce you all to Hardie Grant who will now be publishing my book “Collected”! More news to come on that! The other one I want you to meet is Elin. She will be maintaing my blog now for the next few weeks, while I do a little bit of travelling and settling again. I will be back soon with lots of new photos, recipes, and interesting places to visit. There will still be more Sydney stuff coming as well.
I found these lovely picks the other day, flicking through old photos. It gives me itchy feet and I feel like exploring more out there! Arnstein took these photos while we were travelling in Laos and Vietnam in 2006.

Another dreamy place in New Zealand, this photo is taken along Routeburn track, a part of the beautiful southwest.

The closest I can get to home outside Norway.

Milford Sounds Fjordland New Zealand
It is so peaceful and quiet here. There is only one place you can stay overnight in the Sounds and that’s at the Milford Sounds Lodge. You need to book in advance since it’s a popular place to stay. You can Kayak with the seals and dolphins here, or you can try any of the walking tracks around the fjords, do a cruise on the Sound, or dive amongst the black coral and unique marine life.

This photo is taken on the drive from Arrowtown to Wanaka. Beautiful drive.

Photo is taken with golden half camera, positive 135mm film. Film is cross processed .
Melbourne’s lanes are what makes the city, quirky and luring. It’s always rewarding when you discover a new lane buzzing with cafes, shops or with street art created by artist from around the world. Melbourne is the capital of Victoria and is the cultural capital of Australia. It is meant to be one of top three most livable cities in the world.

Centre Place, off Flinders Lane. This lane is probably one of the busiest ones. It has shops like Kinky Gerlinki and BODY. This would be the place to go for lunch. Most of the eateries here are closed in the evening. Degraves street is just around the corner and has more cafes and shops.
Movida, serving Spanish tapas, is located on Hoiser Lane. Try Movida or Movida Next Door (photo). Phone 6663 9209 for reservation .www.movida.com.au
Warehouse? Or entrance to YU-U ? No one would know from passing by, but behind these doors you will get tasty sashimi, Japanese tapas and green tea desserts that actually feels like they are good for you! This is a small restaurant with a few secluded seats, so book ahead so you don’t get disappointed. It’s located on Flinders Lane 137, Phone 96397073

Other Places to try in Melbourne’s Lanes :
Cumulus inc Lilly Alley had her dinner her while she was in Melbourne. It’s the new and hip place at the moment. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner in modern Australian way. 45 Flinder’s Lane.
Coda New bar/restaurant serving contemporary food on 141 Flinders Lane
Double Happiness on 21 Liverpool Street for fusion cocktails. Try their coffee martini if you are in for a late one!
Fraiser island, world heritage listed sand bar. 300km north of Brisbane.

Nearest airport is Hervey bay and from there you can catch the ferry over to the island. http://www.fraserislandferry.com.au/

On the island you can only do four wheel driving. If your four wheel driving skills aren’t too good I recommend to go with a group like we did. fraserislanddiscovery. And hopefully there is enough strong guys in your group that can push when you get stuck in the sand.

There is 40 freshwater lakes on the island and we only got to see lake Mc Kenzie. Unfortunately we did a one day trip, which is not enough time to see everything! So would definitely recommend at least three days!
Noosa, up-market beach town on the east coast. Located 160 km north of Brisbane and 1100 km north of Sydney. Australians would say it’s their version of Cannes in France. You got Peter Lik and Hugo Boss on the beach and award winning restaurants and coffee bars on every corner.

Noosa National park is also worth having a look at. There is five different tracks you can do , ranging from one kilometre to eight kilometres.
250 000 holiday makers are planning their holiday in Noosa every year. Make sure you book accommodation ahead in peak times like around christmas and school holidays, it will be busy. We tried out two backpackers in Noosa. One of them was YHA Halse lodge. Located close to Hasting street and main beach it is the perfect spot. The house is a fully restored house from the 1880′s, listed by the national trust. The prices starts on $30 and they do twin and double rooms. www.halselodge.com.au

Halse Lodge YHA
Other Backpacker place, which is also good, but a bit further away from Noosa heads is Noosa backpackers, Located in Noosaville it will take ten min with the ferry on the river, or 5 min bus ride in to main beach.www.noosabackpackers.com.
Try stand up paddle www.standuppaddle.com.au while you are in Noosa. Great fun, and a good way to have a look at the million dollar mansions placed right on the river.
